Lought Fea currently attracts 30,000 visitors a year to one of the most beautiful spots right on our doorstep. It offers walkers a pleasent mix of panoramic scenery and the calming waters.
The 4.1km walk around the lake is a challenge to take on. Here are some of the advantages I see from it.
Its safe and great for the family with no traffic.
I love the picnic areas dotted around the lake and little huts. Its an ideal spot to stop of for a picnic and catch up with friends.

There's a fantastic park, keep fit area and toilets in the main car park.
As well as being the source of drinking water for the Cookstown district . The natural beauty spot is an anglers dream with fly fishing availabe on the Lough. The Mid Ulster Angling Club have a number of fishing stands as well as a jetty. You can purchase your local fishing licence at the Burnavon in Cookstown
