Lough Fea Walk

Lough Fea Walk

Have you ever walked around Lough Fea?

Set against the background of the Sperrin's region, in an area of outstanding natural beauty you will really enjoy the 4.1k walk around the lake. Lough Fea Cookstown currently attracts 30,000 visitors a year to one of the most beautiful spots right on our doorstep. It offers walkers a pleasant mix of panoramic scenery and the calming waters.

The 4.1km walk around the lake is a challenge to take on.  Here are some of the advantages I see from it.

It's safe and flat, great for the family day out..

I love the picnic areas dotted around the lake and little huts.  It's an ideal spot to stop of for a picnic and catch up with friends.

There's a fantastic park, keep fit area and toilets in the main car park.

Fishing Available

As well as being the source of drinking water for the Cookstown district. The natural beauty spot is an anglers dream with fly fishing available on the Lough. The Mid Ulster Angling Club have a number of fishing stands as well as a jetty. You can purchase your local fishing licence at the Burnavon in Cookstown
