Tullyhogue fort, has a winding walk up the hillside, picnic tables at the bottom... beautiful views from top that let you see over to Slemish Mountains. The walk is on a step incline but the views are amazing. . Paths are tarmac and suitable for kids.  There is also a large picnic area now on the walk and a free car park. 

Walk takes about 45 minutes. 

Tullyhogue Fort continues to be a popular tourist destination. With this being the location where the ancient O'Neill Kings were crowned and an area steeped in Irish history just on the outskirts of Cookstown it is well worth a visit. Set a date to visit, bring walking shoes and enjoy the upgrade and the amazing views.
