This year, the Cookstown and District MCC celebrate their 90th anniversary, and with a top class entry for the event, which takes place, Friday27th/sat 28th April, they have every reason to celebrate. This years event also has a new Title Sponsor, KDM Hire, a local based Hire Company, KDM are one of the UK and Ireland ’s leading equipment rental companies, offering a vast range of products for hire. Operating from depots in Cookstown and Belfast, KDM Hire offer the largest range of equipment for hire in Northern Ireland with over 1000 different products available for your business or domestic needs .Due to the shortness of the circuit, combined with the fact, it is the First race of the year, the Club again are pleased to announce a Full House in most classes.
Topping the entry list is Local rider, and 22 times a winner at Cookstown; Ryan Farquhar on the KMR Kawasakis, joining him will be Australian Cameron Donald, fresh from his Easter weekend success on board the Wilson Craig Hondas, Lap record holder, Guy Martin returns again, this time in the new look Tyco /TAS Suzukis.
Both the Dunlop brothers are also entered, with Michael, who this year will be running his own team, with support from local Business man, Winston McAdoo of Gortreagh Printing Co..
William Dunlop will be in action on board the Wilson Craig machines, as is certain to be out in the 125 race as well
Alos entered are ; John Burrows, Davy Morgan, Michael Pearson, Adrian Archibald and Rob Barber (winner of the First ever Electric bike TT Race)
Derek Sheilds heads the Southern invasion, which includes; Brian McCormack (CD Racing), Michael Sweeney, Andy Farrell and newcomer Derek McGee ( ex Michael Dunlop R6 Yamaha).
British Championship contender, Paul Jordan is a late entry for the 125 class.
Czech Invasion
Making a welcome return to Cookstown after his much publicised crash last year is Michael Dokoupil, and he is bringing along with him, two of his friends from the Czech Republic , Oli Hanak and Lukas Petria, both of whom will ride in the 600 class
