Killymoon Castle Cookstown

Killymoon Castle is situated close to Cookstown golf club and overlooks the Ballinderry River. The castle was built in 1671 by James Stewart  and was later destroyed by fire in 1801. In 1802 Colonel William Stewart decided to rebuild but in a much grander fashion. The castle and grounds are private and arrangements to view the castle can be found at the tourist information centre.
