The Cookstown 100

The Cookstown 100 is an annual road race, which takes place around the streets of Cookstown and the surrounding area. It’s generally the first event on the British Road Bike calendar, as it marks the start of the build up to the TT – the first chance for the riders to get on the roads. It’s an incredibly fast track as most of the road races are, with several jumps along the way and a couple of sharp 90 degree corners.

It’s a race with a lot of history behind it, with the 90th anniversary that took place in 2012. The track offers a large number of places for spectators, with several grandstands being erected before the event – you’re looking at an extra £5 if you’d like to sit in them too. Safety is always paramount but as a road race, it’s one of the most dangerous tracks in Motorsport.
