My name is Omid Elliott and I have been a qualified acupuncturist since 2006 and a qualified Chinese Herbalist since 2010. I have been the resident acupuncturist in the family run Cookstown Herbal & Acupuncture Clinic for almost twenty years.Acupuncture is a medical treatment in which practitioners insert fine needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. It is however now being used to support overall wellness, including immunity support and management of stress within the body.

Acupuncture has been used by the NHS since 1982 and has become a part of the physiotherapy practice in the UK. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) supports the use of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic primary pain.
