The passing of Tony Devlin

An inspiration for generations to come

Cookstown is in a state of mourning after the passing of Tony Devlin, principal for 17 years of Holy Trinity Primary School. Mr Devlin sadly passed away after a short battle with cancer at his home in Dungannon on Friday 6th October. Tributes have poured in from those who he taught, coached and inspired which is a wonderful acknowledgment of the positive impact Tony has made on generations of Cooktown’s youth through teaching and his dedication to Cookstown GAA. At his funeral, Fr. Donaghy described him as, “A man with a desire for everyone to reach their full potential.”

The thoughts of the entire community are with his family and friends at this sad time.
