Tyco BMW's Guy Martin has the chance to 'blow off a few cobwebs' at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100 in April.

Martin will join team-mate William Dunlop at the opening Irish road race of 2015 as the pair debut their new S1000RR Superbike machines at the narrow 2.1-mile Orritor circuit.

The Lincolnshire star, who combines his racing exploits with his job as a truck mechanic and role as a TV presenter, last competed at Cookstown in 2013, when he won the Supersport race and twice finished as the runner-up in the Superbike class behind Michael Dunlop.

“Yeah, Cookstown is always a great way to blow off the winter cobwebs and having already tested the BMW in Spain, I'm really looking forward to it now,” he said.

“I missed last year and quite a bit of good racing from what I hear, so it'll be a good way to roll out the big BMW for the first time. Yeah it'll be mint and I'm sure a few of the other top boys will turn up for a decent bit of racing.”

Dunlop will also open his account on the BMW at Cookstown and has some unfinished business to take care of after he was denied a win on his debut with the Moneymore team in 2014 on corrected time by Manx rider Dan Kneen.

“Although we did have some success, I was disappointed to lose out on the big bike win last year on corrected time, so it's a great incentive to go back to Cookstown next month,” he said.

“It is a great little circuit and the club put on a top event, so I'll being doing my best to try to notch up my first win for Tyco BMW.

You will both get a great weldome from all at Cookstown
